Our stay at this dog friendly pub with rooms in Wandsworth
The name Alma means 'to lift one's spirit' or 'feed the soul' which aptly describes our experience at this Young's pub in Wandsworth.
Our souls were well fed at The Alma, as we helped ourselves to treats from the bar and then we assisted the humans (who as usual suffered from a case of eyes bigger than bellies) to polish off their Sunday Roast.
They chose the Chicken Sharing Roast, where you get a whole chicken and a mountain of veggies, Yorkshire puddings and pigs in blankets!!
We watched all the food being prepared from the open kitchen and Nacho was able to shout for more pigs in blankets!
Then our spirits were lifted when we discovered we didn't have to go back out in the rain to travel home. We just had to walk down the corridor to our gorgeous garden suite.
We brought our Pooch & Mutt treats in case we got the nibbles during the night.

After a few after dinner drinks, it was time for bed....
We all had a fabulous night's sleep as the hotel is very quiet and the beds are super comfy.
The next morning, our friend Lola from Wagit joined us for breakfast, where the humans could choose from cooked dishes or the buffet with pastries and fruit etc.
We have an understanding with our humans that if we have to share a hotel room with them and their bad habits, then they have to order a Full English and share the sausage!
The Alma is a great place to stay for pooches, with a large bar area and restaurant plus an outdoor courtyard area and tables outside at the front.
There is no parking at the hotel but parking is free on nearby streets at weekends and after 4.30pm on weekdays. The hotel is opposite Wandsworth Town rail station which is 10 minutes from Waterloo.
Dogs are welcome throughout the pub, restaurant and hotel area.
Up to 2 dogs can stay overnight for £15 total and beds, blankets, bowls and treats are provided.
The Garden Suite has an enclosed courtyard garden.
