I recently went with the human to pick out the best spot in Hyde park for our doggie picnic in June. I considered this to be work so I demanded a treat in return as it was a Sunday after all.
We had our friends Ann and Mikey with us so we headed across the road to The Milestone Hotel as we had heard from other doggie friends that it was a good place to visit.
We were welcomed by Steven the doorman who asked for a photo with me and of course I obliged - Gaynor said my ego didn’t need any more boosting as it’s big enough already! Then some other friendly staff said hello and showed us into the bar and conservatory, where doggies are welcome to join the humans for afternoon tea or food from the extensive bar menu. Both areas are quite small so might be tricky when they are busy but it was quiet when we went on a Sunday afternoon.
Water was brought to us and topped up by the very friendly barman, he even brought us our own bowl of crisps because he thought we looked hungry - yes I’ve been perfecting that look for 9 years my friends! You’ll need to take your own treats if your humans prefer you not to eat crisps.
The humans enjoyed their Durban style chicken curry with dips and naan bread, washed down with a few glasses of wine. (She told me not to mention that 😜)
The Milestone Hotel is part of the Red Carnation Group and all their hotels are dog friendly. Egerton House Hotel is another favourite of ours.
Red Carnation Hotels is a family owned collection, renowned for impeccable service and generous hospitality. We take great pride in delivering warm, thoughtful and personal service to create memorable experiences for our guests.
Why not join us in Hyde Park on Saturday 1st June for our doggie picnic then take the humans to the Milestone Hotel for a drink afterwards?
I give the Milestone Hotel 3 paws.
Archie 🐾🐾
P.s this is how I rate dog friendly places
1 paw - not really dog friendly, more dog tolerant!
2 paws - happy to accommodate us but more for the humans
3 paws - very dog friendly, worth going a little bit out of your way
4 paws - super dog friendly (e.g have dog menu) worth a special trip
