Pubs with Good Grub

Updated: Oct 27

Our top 5 dog friendly London pubs who also serve great food for 2 legged foodies.

dog friendly pub London

We love a good boozer and are lucky that London has a plethora of pubs that love four legged visitors.

Some pubs stand out for their food and here are our top 5 from 2023.

dog friendly pub Isleworth London
Coach and Horses Isleworth

The Coach and Horses in Isleworth is a Young's pub with a great outdoor space and even a car park!

The menu transported us to a top restaurant in Cornwall as the mussels tasted fresh from the sea and the vegetarian Sunday roast was simply scrumptious. We loved the little touches like the home baked bread roll served with whipped butter.

Dogs are welcome everywhere, there are treats on the bar and a dog station in the garden.

Where: The Coach and Horses 183 London Rd, Isleworth TW7 5BQ

dog friendly pub Wandsworth London
The Alma Wandsworth

The Alma in Wandsworth is famous for it's Sunday Roast sharer and now we know why!

Be prepared for an absolute feast because even the sharer for 2 is enough to feed an army! Your pooch will surely remind you to ask for a doggy bag!

The Alma also has rooms so we were able to sample the breakfast which is also fabulous.

Pooches are welcome everywhere including in the hotel. There are treats on the bar but with portions like these, the leftovers will keep you going for a week!

Where: The Alma 499 Old York Rd, London SW18 1TF

dog friendly pub Greenwich London
The Cutty Sark Greenwich

The Cutty Sark in Greenwich is a wonderful London pub, steeped in history.

The menu does have some pub classics but with some great additions that would not be out of place in a top restaurant.

Four legged foodies are welcome throughout the pub and there is outside seating across the road, overlooking the river.
The friendly staff will bring treats and doggy ice cream is available.

Where: The Cutty Sark 4-6 Ballast Quay, London SE10 9PD

dog friendly rooftop bar London
The Broadcaster London

The Broadcaster is more of a bar than a boozer and is a fab place to go for brunch especially in good weather.

The outdoor rooftop is perfect for a lazy brunch or lunch. We recommend trying a selection of small plates because they are all too good not to try. There are great cocktails to wash them down with too!

Pooches are welcome throughout the large bar area on ground floor and on the roof terrace.

The staff will provide treats in return for cuddles!

Where: The Broadcaster 89 Wood Ln, London W12 7FX

dog friendly pub East Sheen London
Hare and Hounds East Sheen

The Hare and Hounds in East Sheen is a welcome surprise when you walk though to the back and into the garden.

The outside are is huge and beautifully presented with some cabins in case the weather isn't friendly.

The food is equally well presented with some great takes on pub classics. Every mouthful was delicious.

Pooches are welcome everywhere inside and out and there is a dog station in the pub where you can help yourself to treats and water.

Where: The Hare and Hounds 214-216 Upper Richmond Rd W, London SW14 8AH
