From 10th to 16th May we are focusing on all things veggie for National Vegetarian Week.
My humans are what's known as flexitarians, often opting for veggie and vegan food when they eat out and they assure me it is super tasty, though personally I've never been a fan of anything green!
The vegetarian and plant-based restaurant scene in London is growing with a whole host of places devoted solely to the cuisine as well as many other places increasing the amount of veggie dishes on their menus. No longer do you only have the option of a veggie burger or vegetarian lasagne!
Firm meat free favourites include Farmacy, Wags n Tales, Redemption and Wulf and Lamb and here are 5 more dog friendly places where you can get some fabulous veggie dishes. Sorry my veggie friends but I could never give up sausages!!
Wild By Tart in Belgravia offers a small plates, sharing menu where over 50% of the dishes are vegetarian.
Sit back on their cool outdoor terrace in Eccleston Yards and enjoy such delights as Asparagus, tarragon tomatoes, hazelnut & roast garlic and Nettle, confit garlic mascarpone, parmesan & lemon flatbread.
Their full menu will be available from May 17th. Follow them at @wildbytart for updates.

Abuelo is a wonderful little restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden and is a great place to get a veggie brunch.
Their current menu is almost all veggie, with only 2 meat dishes. We had the Huevos Divorciados de Turco (above) and the Truffle Mushie Toastie. We can't wait to go back and try more soon.
They have an enclosed and heated terrace on Southampton Street and will re-open indoors on May 17th.
Follow them @abuelocoffeelondon to see more of their delicious food and coffee.
Soanes Kitchen in Ealing's Walpole Park is the best park restaurant in London.
They have an outdoor area in their pretty walled garden where you can get pizza and pastries but when they re-open indoors you will be able to order a full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Vegetarian dishes include shakshuka, mushroom arancini and pumpkin ravioli to name but a few.

Like me, The Retreat Kitchen in Richmond is proof that good things come in small packages!
At this vegan café on Richmond Hill Rise you will find Maggie and Claire serving up plant-based delights such as chickpea omelette (above), loaded sweet potato and jackfruit hot dog.
The café has a few tables outside the front and you can also get takeaway and delivery through hoptapp.

The Pottery Bar is one of my favourite local restaurants in Kingston.
The restaurant serves Spanish tapas, a large selection of which are vegetarian such as tortilla and manchego cheese and they also have a vegan paella.
They have a large enclosed rear garden where you can relax with a jug of sangria and pretend you're on holiday on the Costa del Sol!

We hope you enjoy some delicious vegetarian food this May and please let us know if you know any great places you think we should try.
